This presentation explores the challenge of bearing witness to Christ in a global, secular, and pluralistic age. It outlines the evidential basis for Christian truth claims, especially the resurrection, engages common objections to faith, and offers practical guidance for doing apologetics as a servant of the gospel-always aiming to lead others to Christ with clarity, conviction, and compassion.
In our global, secular, and pluralistic world, Christians face the challenge of bearing witness in a culture saturated with competing voices and ideologies. Simply being louder or more culturally savvy isn't enough; we must be prepared to give a thoughtful and confident answer for our faith, trusting that the truth of the gospel can stand.
This section outlines the evidential case for Christianity, showing that the New Testament is a reliable historical source in which Jesus clearly claims to be God and offers the resurrection as proof. Using accepted historical methods, even skeptical scholars affirm key facts that make the resurrection the most plausible explanation. If Christ is risen, then Christianity uniquely answers the question of religious truth.
Christianity is able to address major objections: it confronts the problem of pain and evil not by avoiding it, but by centering the suffering of God in Christ; it answers doubts about the supernatural through a well-attested historical miracle; and it grounds the authority of revelation in the trustworthy, eyewitness-based record of Scripture.
Apologetics serves the gospel by addressing objections as they arise, not by winning arguments or introducing new doubts. It treats questions seriously, discerns whether issues are moral or intellectual, and speaks in ways others can understand. Grounded in faith and the church, apologetics ultimately aims to bring people to the cross with clarity, humility, and compassion.
